PBS' film about reinventing the Talent Pipeline (All students/apprentices seen are from Olympic) -- NC Institute for Emerging Issues Here is a recent film feature created by the NC Institute for Emerging Issues which was shown to 1,200 NC leaders a few weeks ago (including politicos like Governors McCrory and Hunt, U.S. Senators Burr and Hagan, and business leaders throughout NC) stressing the importance of creating a state environment where advanced manufacturing can flourish and challenging businesses to provide work-based learning so that can occur (internships & apprenticeships) -- All the students/apprentices you see in the film linked above are from Olympic. Upon review you will note that Olympic has intentionally established five career academies which vertically align with Charlotte's key industry sectors so its student can begin developing the target core competencies needed for those workplaces.
